Forest Retreat is a 3D exterior rendering Paulo created in 2023 for a home in the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel. The architect had seen Paulo's rendering work before and trusted his skill and precision, so he brought Paulo in to help everyone picture the finished home and the land around it.

A lot of architectural renderings stop at the walls. On this one, Paulo put just as much attention on the outside. He designed a curated garden of lavender, rosemary, and native shrubs that wraps around the house and connects it to the landscape. It reads like a Mediterranean garden that belongs in the hills of the Preserve: drought tolerant, fragrant, and easy to live with.

That landscape rendering gave the architect and client a realistic picture to make decisions from, from how the home sits on the site to how the planting frames it.

Forest Retreat is a good example of what 3D architectural rendering adds to a project. Clear, photorealistic images let everyone agree on the vision early, while changes are still easy to make. Paulo provides rendering work for architects and builders across the Monterey Peninsula.
