Treehouse is one of three new homes built on a single lot in Carmel-by-the-Sea, part of the same development as Brisa. Before Paulo got involved, there was nothing on the site to work from. The home started as an idea and came to life through his 3D renderings.
Working alongside the architects and contractors, Paulo used interior design renderings to develop the look and feel of the home before construction, so the whole team could see how the materials and layout would come together.
The interior is a light, modern take on California coastal interior design. Lighter woods keep the rooms bright and relaxed, stone slabs add texture and weight, and clean modern elements keep it simple. The result is a modern coastal home where the light wood interior design suits Carmel's setting without falling into beach-house clichés.
Treehouse shows how 3D interior rendering can shape a new home from the very beginning, giving everyone a clear picture of the finished space long before the first wall goes up. See Brisa and Pine Trees for the other two homes on the property.
